Surgical Services - Operating Room 

 

Serving patients of all ages 4 Operating SuitesServices include:  General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Robotics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, ENT, Neuro Spine, and Vein ProceduresAverages 2,600 cases a year.Surgical and Anesthesia coverage 24/760th percentile ranking for Patient Satisfaction.Endoscopy/GI department has 2 procedure rooms to serve both outpatients and inpatients for colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and EGD.Averages 2500 Endoscopy procedures per year

 Other information about this position:

48 hours per 2 weeksDay/Evening/Night shifts 8 hour shiftson call shifts: nights, weekends, and holiday's (one weekday call per week and on average every 7th weekend)Location: Princeton, MN20 minutes within location, call rooms available

Schedule: This position is 48 hours per two weeks on the day/evening/night shift, 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday (start times are 6:40am and 9:00am) . Position includes off premise call on weekends, holidays, and nights.  Staff need to be within 20 minutes of the hospital to meet off premise call requirements.

 

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of careDevelops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health careDemonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

 

Required

MN RN LicenseBLS for Health Care Providers OR RN experience and/or Completion of AORN Peri-op 101 course and/or Clinical Experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or completion of OR Internship

 Preferred

BSN2 years OR RN experience
