**Job Description​** **Registered Nurse (RN) – Primary Care (Smithville)** **BJC HealthCare / Saint Luke’s Health System** is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care team in Smithville, MO. This role is essential in providing high-quality professional nursing care, coordinating patient services, and ensuring seamless clinic operations. **Position Overview** The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive clinical care in accordance with established medical standards. This position is heavily focused on telephone triage and patient coordination, requiring a clinician who can balance autonomous decision-making with collaborative teamwork. **Key Responsibilities** + **Clinical Care & Triage:** Manage high-volume telephone triage for multiple providers; assess patient needs, provide clinical advice, and schedule emergent appointments. + **Patient Coordination:** Oversee patient flow and care coordination; perform IV insertions and administer medications as prescribed. + **Leadership & Delegation:** Serve as a subject matter expert for patient education and assessment. Delegate tasks to clinical staff based on competency and scope of practice. + **Administrative Excellence:** Accurately document patient care, enter admission orders as directed by providers, and manage clinical inventory (e.g., monitoring expired samples). + **Cross-Functional Support:** Maintain a professional demeanor while providing exceptional customer service. Flexibly support the clinic by performing MA or LPN duties as operational needs require. **Schedule** + Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM **Qualifications** + **Licensure:** Dual RN licensure in Missouri and Kansas is required. (Candidates without dual licensure at the time of offer must obtain the second license within 90 days of hire). + **Certification:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. + **Experience Preference:** Minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred. + **Skills:** Exceptional communication skills for heavy telephonic interaction; ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based environments. **Job Requirements** Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various Associate Degree **Job Details** Full Time Day (United States of America) **_The best place to get care.
