Where you will work

Patient Bays : 18

Patient Population:

Elective and urgent/emergent surgical patients

Surgeries include ophthalmology including retinal cases orthopedics, and plastics

Culture: Collaborative, supportive, and cohesive

Skill Mix: Experienced nurses with a variety of backgrounds; ED, Med Surg, ICU and LD

Staffing & Ratios:

6 RNs and 1CNAs per day

Typical ratio: 1:4

We’re Looking For:

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS

Having 1-2 years nursing experience; Med Surg, ED, Peri-Op Experience

What You’ll Do:

Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.

Educate patients and families adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.

Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.

Lead and delegate effectively fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.

Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.

0.9 FTE Days M-F Flex starts between 0500-0900

open to 8-hour 10-hour or 12-hour shifts per week

On call rotation for weeknights, weekends and holidays

Closed major holidays
