Overview We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN . The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): + A ssess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions + P rovide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain + I n cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care + M anage high-stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events + E ducate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers . You must have:  + Current and valid state RN License. + Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. + Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current + Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: + Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred. + Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred. + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
