Job Description

Are you a passionate RN looking to take your skills beyond the bedside and into the heart of the community? We’re looking for a dedicated, dynamic nurse to join our outpatient team—someone who’s not only clinically sharp, but also a natural educator, community collaborator, and champion of chronic disease prevention, especially diabetes.

In this role, you’ll wear many hats (and probably rock them all): provider of top-notch patient care, health educator, interdisciplinary team player, community advocate, and go-to diabetes expert. No two days will be the same, and your impact will stretch far beyond the clinic walls.

What You'll Do

Provide compassionate care to patients across the spectrum—acute, chronic, and terminal—within an ambulatory setting.

Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care using the full power of the nursing process.

Be the RN that patients trust, families appreciate, and coworkers admire.

Collaborate closely with patients, families, fellow healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders.

Deliver diabetes education and health promotion programs that change lives, in clinic and out in the community.

Train, mentor, and support students and local healthcare professionals.

Coordinate community outreach activities and educational programs in schools, businesses, and other organizations.

Create and share health education materials—brochures, slides, videos, and more.

Represent the nursing profession with professionalism, kindness, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Keep your practice razor-sharp by attending workshops, reading the latest research, and staying up to date on compliance and best practices.

Participate in quality improvement efforts, program evaluations, and compliance initiatives.

Bring passion and purpose to your work every single day.

What You Bring:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Have a current Missouri RN license.

Have and maintain a current BCLS certification.

Are a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) — or are ready to complete the exam within 18 months of hire.

Have at least 4 years of experience in nursing, ideally with a focus on diabetes care and women's health

Understand the principles and practices of diabetes education and public health programming.

Have strong communication skills and can effectively present to individuals and groups.

Work well independently, manage priorities efficiently, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Are knowledgeable about state, federal, and local regulations and can operate within established compliance frameworks.

Deliver age-appropriate care and understand how to meet diverse patient needs.

Thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and are committed to ongoing learning.

If you're ready to make a real difference—not just in patient lives but across the entire community—apply now and help us shape the future of healthcare.
