Position Summary

 

Accountable to the V.P. of Cardiology Services and/or Director of Cardiology Services, the Provisional Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating specific development opportunities and division projects within Cardiology.

 

This role serves as the liaison between the V.P. of Cardiology Services and the Cath Lab Management Team, and other hospital departments as necessary

 

Job Responsibilities

Program Development/Project Coordination  Responsible for research and analysis to collect information that contributes to making operational and strategic decisions regarding potential new procedures/programs   Provides coordination, project management, and development of planning activities across departments to provide direction and managing phases of the proposal development/implementation processes  Actively coordinates and participates in planning\status meetings to drive outcomes  Maintains detailed records of all aspects of project development for quick access and future reference May be assigned other duties as needed. May require assignments in multiple locations.

 

Analytics Provide analysis on an on-going basis, identify trends, and utilize data to improve operations   Assist in the assessment of new products/service lines to determine impact to organization Responsible for the awareness of inter-intra department workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement plan of action to advance process changes

    

Operations/Strategic:  Works directly with other team members and Medical Staff to allow for planning and updates throughout program\project development  Assists with establishing project-related priorities with Administrator  Engages stakeholders to promote participation in overall process Legal/Regulatory: Coordinates Compliance with State, Federal, and other applicable agencies for assigned areas(s).  Routinely and proactively assesses and adjusts processes to remain in compliance with all regulatory expectations Identifies and assesses appropriate accreditation, certification, and recognition options for departments. Participates in identifying or selecting measures for departments and identifies external data sources for benchmarking comparison Participates in external data reporting & registries as assigned

 

Education/Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed as a professional nurse by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. A BSN degree is desirable. Successful completion of the Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs. Obtains and maintains current certification in BLS, ACLS certifications as required in specialty areas.
