US Got People (USGP) is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide expert nutrition services to active-duty military members, veterans, and their families at the McChord Medical Clinic located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).
Position Highlights:

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in dietetics from an accredited program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.Certification:
Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)Board eligible as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) through the Academy of Nutrition and DieteticsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through an in-person course (e.g., American Red Cross or equivalent per AR 40-68 guidelines)Licensure:
Must hold and maintain a current, active, and unrestricted license if required by the stateExperience:
Minimum 3 years of experience within the last 5 years in one or more of the following:Wellness or sports nutritionHealth promotion and obesity/weight managementDiabetes prevention and lifestyle counseling (familiarity with the National Diabetes Prevention Program required)Experience in:Conducting group health education classesOrganizing outreach and community eventsWorking with both youth and adult populationsImmunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):
Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza (flu) vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group nutrition counseling for patients in coordination with primary care providersLead educational classes such as diabetes management, Health Improvement Programs (HIP), and nutrition supportSupport base health initiatives, including the Healthcare to Health (H2H) programDeliver same-day written or verbal feedback to referring providersParticipate in team-based development of clinical pathways and improvement initiativesDocument care clearly and timely in the electronic medical recordAttend and participate in staff meetings, briefings, and training events related to health promotion and military readinessAssist in installation-wide assessments of nutritional environments and lead improvement effortsEducate military leadership annually on supplement safety and other key nutrition topicsWhy Join USGP?
