CBRE is seeking a dedicated Regional QHSE Manager to join our team and lead QHSE initiatives for a leading global innovator in the manufacturing sector across the APAC region. This is an exciting opportunity to shape QHSE strategies, foster a strong safety culture, and make a significant impact on our client's operations. **A typical day may involve:** + Supporting the account-wide adoption of the appropriate Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy for the APAC region in line with the CBRE Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment strategy, policies, and processes. + Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing QHSE performance within the region (including integrated management systems), identifying appropriate initiatives and differentiators to enable performance improvement and to be aligned with the account growth & compliance strategies. + Supporting the implementation of the account Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy (including that within specifically defined regions) to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment while furthering best practice standards across the region. + Assisting in the development of processes and practices to deliver the above remotely wherever possible, i.e., through the use of suitable technology / digital media platforms. + Supporting the development and managing the implementation of the QHSE business plan for the account, in line with the strategic QHSE plan for CBRE. This includes horizon scanning, planning, and forecasting for both policy changes and resource requirements. + Liaising with respective regional and country leaders to ensure expectations are understood and delivered as far as is reasonable to maintain satisfactory management of potential risk exposures. + Supporting the Global HSE and regional / in-country Operations leads in managing and mitigating operational risks and / or any related HSE issues. + Acting as Subject Matter Expert and providing guidance and practical expertise on QHSE topics to in-country and regional leads, ensuring there is appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to both internal and external customers. + Ensuring compliance with all business-wide policy and strategy through regular management system audits. Develop an account-wide audit regime to devolve routine audits and actions to in-country resources, utilizing technology wherever possible / practical. + Developing and implementing best practice initiatives and activities across all areas of QHSE management, compliance, governance, and oversight, including leading hazardous energy control programs. + Leading the routine collection and review of all near misses, incidents, accidents, and issues and ensuring appropriate remedial actions are implemented to prevent recurrences and drive up HSE standards. + Leading the development and maintenance of the account-specific training strategy & plan to support the service delivery requirements in each region / country within APAC. Support its delivery to enable appropriate standards of HSE competence are achieved and maintained. + Being the figurehead for all HSE-related matters across the region, driving up standards and competence across the various teams. + Assisting with the establishment, mentoring, development, and coaching of QHSE Risk Champions. + Maintaining relationships with industry peers in both client and supplier organizations and developing a culture of sharing best practice and innovation through collaborative working. + Ensuring the achievement of agreed functional standards and service level agreements. + Compiling appropriate performance reports and maintaining performance monitoring, analysis, and review against established metrics and standards to drive improvements. + Supporting the achievement of good industry practice, business competitiveness, and the development of a learning organization. + Supporting effective business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate. + Supporting the health, safety, and environmental aspects of the account growth strategy through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings, bid and contract generation and review through to support during mobilization and resourcing activities within new territories. + Developing routine and focused safety messages for local team meetings, newsletters, IM Communications, etc. + This person will work closely with regional and country leaders to ensure expectations are understood and delivered. + Be involved in client-facing interactions, including collaborative investigations and audits. + Participate in bi-weekly EHS group meetings with regional EHS personnel from CBRE and the client. + Responsible for ensuring timeliness of reporting and maintaining strong relationships with site teams and managers. + The role will also involve developing job analysis, log out tag out, and conducting toolbox talks. + Ensure proper incident identification and reporting. Handle investigations, working with regional leadership to support their teams. + Use spreadsheets to identify areas for trending and development. + Be instrumental in leading hazardous energy control program and compliance, as well as spill prevention initiatives. + Support recordable injuries, working well with the site team. **Requirements:** + Education: A solid foundation. Formal management qualifications in health & safety management are essential. Formal qualification in environmental management and/or Graduate membership of IOSH or equivalent. + Experience: + 10-15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety, operating within a regional capacity. + Proven ability to: + Apply Risk Assessment in a practical environment. + Provide education, guidance, and advice to operational teams. + Conduct monitoring & analysis through inspections, audits, engagement, and oversight. + Demonstrate awareness of the International Standards in Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment. + Champion QHSE through suitable presentation media. + Lead accident/hazard & well-being investigations and analysis to drive improvements and objectives. + Assist and/or deliver training of selected QHSE topics. + Experience working within a multiple-site/international environment is highly desirable. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 + Excellent command of English – understand the changing regulatory environment, compliance program. + Excellent motivational and influencing skills. Able to contribute effectively & on equal terms across all business activities. Politically aware with a sound understanding of current issues.
