Saputo is seeking a Regional Manager, Human Resources – Atlantic Region, for an existing opportunity within our organization.

The Manager, Human Resources – Atlantic Region (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland), is responsible for providing strategic and operational human resources leadership that aligns with organizational priorities and supports a high‑performing, engaged workforce. Reporting to the Regional Director, Human Resources -Ontario & Atlantic, this role partners closely with business leaders, and cross‑functional HR teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality HR service across the region.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, during regular business hours; flexibility is both required and supported.

How you will make contributions that matter:

Strategic HR Partnership

Partner with the HR Director to align regional HR initiatives with broader business goals and corporate HR strategy.Build strong, sustainable working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels, ensuring effective communication, trust, and collaboration.Provide expert advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.Contribute to workforce planning, organizational effectiveness initiatives, and talent development strategies.Analyze HR metrics and workforce data to generate insights that support effective decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as the primary regional contact for employee relations issues; provide coaching, guidance, and support to leaders in addressing performance, conduct, and conflict‑related matters.Support performance management processes, ensuring managers are equipped to deliver consistent feedback and manage performance effectively.Strengthen communication and feedback channels to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.Maintain a regular presence on the floor to build rapport, increase visibility, and support positive employee relationships.Experience partnering with union representatives and supporting negotiations, grievances, and labour relations.Actively contribute to regional employee engagement and social culture initiatives.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Oversee regional execution of the internal and external recruitment process in collaboration with our Talent Acquisition team.Provide coaching to hiring managers throughout the selection process to ensure high‑quality hiring decisions.Lead onboarding activities for the Atlantic region, ensuring new employees experience a smooth transition and successful integration.Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation to reinforce organizational culture and expectations.

HR Operations & Compliance

Provide day‑to‑day HR support to employees, supervisors, and managers, ensuring timely and accurate HR service delivery.Work closely with managers to provide guidance on payroll inquiries and oversee the leave‑of‑absence process.Maintain Workday HRIS administration and ensure ongoing compliance.Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and implementation of new HR practices and policies.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

University degree/college diploma in human resources management or a related field.5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with 2–3 years experience in a leadership role; ideally in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Working knowledge of human resources and applicable laws and regulations related to benefits, pay and health and safety.Experience working with HRIS platforms; Workday experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while also operating independently with strong accountability.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Salary: $90,530 to $118,820 per annum. Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills and training.
