Regional Loss Prevention Manager
Department: Finance Title: Regional Loss Prevention Manager Reports to: Director of Accounting and Loss Prevention FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Hybrid/Remote JOB SUMMARY: This Regional Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for working closely with the Store Operations and Field leadership team to create a culture of safety & security in our stores, identifying areas of potential risk, performing investigations and taking corrective action as necessary. In addition, this role will provide leadership and insights to set the Loss Prevention strategy for Citi Trends, working cross-functionally with other areas of the organization to ensure a holistic approach. The Regional Loss Prevention Manager will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and conducts investigations to identify loss of company assets by researching exception reports, conducting surveillances, and working with Store Operations, DC Operations and HR Interviews associates as needed, as part of case investigation; follow-up to include prosecution and restitution, where possible Investigates and offers remediation support to all stores with inventory shrink above 4% of sales Communicates investigation findings to V.P. of Store Operations, Director of Accounting & Loss Prevention, Regional Manager, District Manager, and Store Manager Using exception reporting, works with LP team to identify the loss of company assets as well as stores that are not complying with policies and procedures Creates and conducts training on loss prevention policies and procedures; participates in store and district level meetings to create awareness of LP policies Conducts store and DC audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and to ensure stores are properly protecting company assets Leveraging up-to-date industry knowledge, ensures store equipment provides appropriate protection for customers, store associates and company assets; particular attention paid to new and remodeled locations Works with local law enforcement to address market-level issues as needed Performs other duties as may be assigned REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize effectively Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills This position requires travel as needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Criminal Science or related field 5+ years related experience and/or training in a multi-location retail organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience Wicklander-Zulawski certification is a plus Experience using Agilence, or similar exception reporting tool, to analyze data to identify potential issues Working knowledge of HR policies and how they relate to LP investigations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must frequently use their hands to handle or feel objects and must be able to speak and hear clearly. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
