Reporting to the Head of Service & Support, as Regional Engineering Manager, you are responsible for managing the team and the support of our products in a manner that delivers exceptional customer experience. You will, as aligned with Roche Diagnostics local and global priorities strategy, provide a cost effective, customer centric, diagnostic product service and support using our knowledge and expertise from pre-installation to product’s end of life. **Key responsibilities include:** + Manage the field-engineering team by daily management of their activities. + Continually review team training requirements to maintain the team skill levels to successfully complete all field activities. + Responsible for the timely pre-installation inspection and installation of Roche and other analytical systems. + Ensure all preventative maintenance is carried out in a timely manner as per quality and manufacturers guidelines. + Ensure any ongoing instrument problems or issues are rapidly communicated to the appropriate management team including Head of Service & Support, Account Manager, Marketing Team and or manufacturer. + Responsible for Spare Part Management and Boot Stock accuracy. + Routinely schedule and meet with customers in your region to measure and review RDA field-engineering performance and provide customers with the opportunity to give feedback and make requests. + When required, provide field-engineering relating to instrument repair, preventative maintenance, modifications, relocations, installations and other routine work. + Set engineer responsibilities, goals and support personal development, book quarterly check-ins to review performance and provide feedback. **Who You Are:** You are someone who wants to influence your own development. To be successful in this position, as an experienced engineer, will be able to tick the below requirements: + Electrical or electronic tertiary or equivalent qualification with substantial field service engineering experience, within Diagnostic & Research Laboratories businesses is desirable. + Strong people management experience and Leadership skills. + Experience with IT and Middleware systems is desirable. + Basic financial & business management experience. + Strong organisational and relationship building skills. + Be able to represent the company externally, and build meaningful external relationships with + relevant stakeholders in support of long-term sustainability. + Enthusiasm to lead, learn and drive excellence in the customer experience + Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required by the position + Forward-thinking mindset, able to navigate change and drive continuous improvement. + Communicates in a concise, clear manner to support expeditious decision-making and builds strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, fostering an exchange of ideas and support among colleagues. A valid driver’s license is essential.
