The Role
The Director of Hotel Operations – Lifestyle Group supports a portfolio of 10-12 hotels across Latin America the Caribbean, collaborating with the Americas Operations team and NYC Lifestyle Hub to deliver exceptional brand-focused guest experiences and strong financial results. This role is accountable for operational performance, owner relations, brand integrity, and strategic guidance on Food Beverage operations, ensuring alignment with Hyatt’s growth strategy and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support Annual Business Plan process for assigned hotels, setting and monitoring financial, operational, and FB targets.
Partner with General Managers to identify and address performance gaps, including FB service delivery and profitability.
Act as liaison between hotel teams and ownership groups, participating in business reviews and operational updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Commercial, Legal, HR, FB) to drive holistic hotel performance.
Assist in planning/execution of hotel openings, re-brandings, and transitions, focusing on operational readiness and FB concept alignment.
Champion brand standards and ensure hotels reflect the unique identity of the Lifestyle Group, especially through FB experiences.
Provide coaching and mentorship to hotel leaders, supporting their development and readiness for future leadership roles.
Contribute to talent development and succession planning, focusing on building diverse and inclusive teams.
Collaborate with 3rd party restaurant partners/chefs to ensure contractual responsibilities are met and financial targets achieved.
Represent the company in external forums, including speaking engagements, industry conferences, and meetings with existing or potential ownership groups to promote Hyatt’s brand and strategic vision.
Network in critical markets to identify external General Manager talent and provide strategic input on GM hiring decisions to ensure alignment with Hyatt’s leadership standards.
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt’s core values and culture of care.

Ability to travel up to 75% across Latin America the Caribbean.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diplomacy and sensitivity, while influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across diverse groups. Passion for developing talent and fostering inclusive team cultures.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken
