Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to identify and troubleshoot issues within refrigeration systems, including electrical, mechanical, and cooling system components. This role involves performing necessary repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring systems operate at optimal performance levels.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems, including electrical, mechanical, and cooling system components.Perform necessary repairs on refrigeration systems, such as replacing faulty parts, fixing leaks, repairing wiring, and restoring proper functionality.Conduct preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and extend the life of the equipment.Safely handle refrigerants, including recovery, recycling, and recharging systems according to industry standards and regulations.Perform inspections of refrigeration equipment to assess condition, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.Provide clear communication with customers regarding system issues, repairs, and maintenance needs. Offer explanations on the work performed and educate clients on how to maintain their systems.Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work completed.Ensure all repairs and services comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, including safety standards.Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of tools, equipment, and protective gear.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in refrigeration, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical troubleshooting.Experience in construction and field service.Knowledge of EPA regulations and blueprint reading.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of commercial refrigeration service experience, including remote systems and walk-in units.Experience troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including commercial kitchens, warehouses, and industrial facilities. Expect exposure to cold environments and varying weather conditions. The role may require occasional overtime or weekend work to meet client needs or project deadlines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
