Sentara Health is currently seeking a full-time remote - Referral Coordinator!

Position Location: This is a remote position, and you must be located near Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach or Hampton Roads area. You must be able to travel on-site for training, for connectivity issues, or as needed for meetings, etc.

Job responsibilities:

Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure:

No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience:

 1 year of Health Insurance Plans experience REQUIREDExperience in a high-volume call center preferredMedical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers.One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
