Job Summary
As an Associate within the Asset and Wealth Management Reference Data Operations team, you conduct in-depth reviews of reference data activities across instruments, pricing, issuer, index, and market data. You evaluate end-to-end data flows, identify operational and business risks, and promote mitigation actions to enhance data quality and efficiency. In this role, you collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver process improvements and support a culture of continuous innovation.
Job Responsibilities
Perform detailed reviews of reference data activities including instrument setup, issuer maintenance, pricing validations, and market & index dataAssess control points, exception handling, and data lineage to identify gaps and improvement opportunitiesMap data dependencies and consumption across AWM downstream platforms and partner with Technology and Product teams to trace data lineageProactively identify risks, conduct root cause analysis, and design preventive control measuresRecommend process optimization and automation opportunities to improve data quality and reduce manual interventionEngage with global stakeholders to present findings, recommendations, and improvement plans through dashboards and executive summariesMaintain comprehensive documentation of process data flows, risk assessments, and mitigation actions, and prepare regular reports for management reviewRequired qualifications, skills and capabilities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or related field8+ years of experience in Reference Data Operations, Data Quality, or Risk & Controls functions within Investment Banking or Asset & Wealth ManagementStrong understanding of financial instruments and related data attributesProficiency in data lineage tracing, control design assessment, and root cause analysis

Experience with analytical and automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, or PythonExcellent analytical, communication, stakeholder, and project management skillsAbility to lead process optimization and control initiatives in a dynamic environmentStrong collaboration, influencing, and adaptability skills
