Minimum Requirements

Legally eligible to work in CanadaAble to obtain (in a timely manner) and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearanceFluency in English (read, write, speak)4-7 years of recruitment experience with 2+ years of full cycle recruitment experienceProficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, job posting boards/LinkedIn, MS365Able to work on-site at any of our three (3) Ottawa locations as required

 

Position Summary

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist in our People & Culture group, you will be responsible for hiring across our organization in the IT, manufacturing, business development, and corporate services domains. You will perform full-cycle (preparing, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring, supporting onboarding) recruitment activities and ensure we hire top talent to support the organization’s needs and goals.

 

Responsibilities

Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and define role‑specific qualifications.Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent and source candidates using multiple channels.Draft job descriptions, manage job postings, perform initial screenings and interview coordination.Support hiring managers in evaluating candidates for technical abilities, experience, and cultural fit, and manage offer negotiation and presentation.Collaborate with HR and the Pre‑Employment Screening Coordinator to facilitate background checks and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.Maintain compliance with labor laws and internal policies while ensuring accurate documentation and ATS recordkeeping.Promote employer branding through recruitment events and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates via proactive outreach and networking.Various other responsibilities

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration (or related field) or an equivalent number of additional years of relevant experienceKnowledge and experience with the following:Fundamentals of employment laws, HR standards and practicesRecruiting for unionized environments
