Schedule:

Full-Time: 8-hour shiftsSchedule: Monday to Friday 6:30am – 4:30pm

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreational Therapy from an accredited institutionCertified Recreational Therapist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)Minimum one year of experience as a Recreational Therapist post-graduationValid license to practice in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. TerritoryCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC

Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement recreational therapy sessions, including activities such as arts & crafts, music, drama, games, sports, special events, outdoor experiences, and volunteer engagementCoordinate therapeutic recreation services for Traumatic Stress and Brain Injury (TSBI) patients and their familiesDevelop and adapt individualized recreational therapy plans based on assessmentsOffer coaching and instructional support as neededFacilitate participation in community-based recreational activitiesParticipate in regular program reviews and modify treatment plans as needed in collaboration with TSBI team members
