Reconciliation Specialist (Entry Level Accounting)
Job Title: Reconciliation Specialist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Reconciliation Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and transaction reconciliation within our retail operations across the US, Canada, and Mexico. You will work closely with a small team of experts who are committed to providing valuable feedback and insights to enhance your role in this complex industry.

ResponsibilitiesCopy information from POS files and create pivot tables to track store transactions, ensuring data accuracy and balance.Perform manual reconciliations in Excel, as we are in the process of upgrading our software.Match invoices to payments to balance accounts and resolve discrepancies.Identify the causes of discrepancies between POS and brand systems, and reconcile and balance them using Excel.Collaborate with various retail partners, including Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Nordstroms, and Holt, as well as hotel boutiques.Essential SkillsBasic accounting knowledge with an understanding of debiting and crediting accounts.Retail experience at the office/store level to understand the broader context of transaction reconciliation.Experience in reconciliation, preferably from a bank reconciliation standpoint.Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP.Prior reconciliation experience is a plus.Work Environment

The role offers a hybrid work environment with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, including a one-hour lunch break. You will work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
