Job Title: Reconciliation Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Reconciliation Specialist to manage and organize tenant files, ensuring compliance with Section 8 requirements. This role involves both bank reconciliations and administrative responsibilities, requiring strong communication skills and a foundational understanding of treasury management.
Responsibilities
Receive and review applicant files from credit processing, confirming inclusion of Section 8 voucher and Request for Tenancy packet.Complete RTA packet and attach all necessary landlord documents, email to Section 8 caseworker, and document in file.Process new tenant files from leasing, ensuring lease matches HAP contract from Section 8.Set up tenant profiles in Yardi, add tenants to HA book, and file tenant documents accurately.Enter interim and annual breakdowns in Yardi.Contact tenants to address work orders and reconcile tenant ledgers.Organize Section 8 file cabinets and hold drawer.Print and match HAP ACH confirmation sheets with bank sheets for processing.Separate NJDCA Housing checks by property, prepare checks for posting.Print and mail Cares Act NTV letters, ensuring tenant rent balance is over $400, and document in tenant account.Prepare court filings for tenants with confirmed rent balances over $400, add court costs to tenant ledgers.Print Section 8 delinquency and renewal reports, organize and mail renewal packets.Maintain copies of required documents for tenant files and ensure timely communication with Housing Authorities.Essential Skills
Experience with bank reconciliations.Knowledge of treasury management.Basic Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookup.Strong communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
