Job Title: Reconciliation Specialist (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Reconciliation Specialist who will be responsible for managing bank reconciliations, sales, and cash in Excel. This role involves working closely with major retailers across the US, Canada, and Mexico, ensuring all return transactions are accurately processed and reconciled.

Responsibilities

Reconciling and reviewing sales and cash(credit cards, gift cards, store deposits, etc.,) for different brands within Excel

Clearing and balancing transactions

Once matched-up, verifying sales & reconciling discrepancies

The discrepancies range from missing sales tax on a particular transaction to the address of a store-location incorrectly populating in the system to verifying if there was a prior deposit putdown on a particular product that is unaccounted for in the sale at in the system

The discrepancy is resolved by either calling a specific store to verify a transaction or by adjusting the discrepancy with internal-process (knowing a specific stores address, looking it up online, etc.)

Essential SkillsBachelors in accounting, finance, or related field to have an understanding of accounting processesExcel skills, including proficiency in VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.Understanding of credit and debitsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBackground in reconciliation, accounts receivable, and sales audit.Work Environment

The position is based in a brand new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Wayne, NJ, offering modern corporate amenities, including a Starbucks and cafeteria. Work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. The role requires onsite presence from Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
