POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE
Assemble recliners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build seats for recliners by upholstering them in fabric or leather.
• Put mechanisms together and install into frame.
• Assemble recliners as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Manufacturing Experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in furniture manufacturing,

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 High School

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be willing to learn and perform upholstery.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to use hands to pull fabric/leather onto the frame.
• Must be able to push/pull frame to work area and place on the lift.
• Must be able to use hand tools.
• Must be able to assemble small pieces.
• Must have good vision.
• Must be able to read a work ticket written in English.
• Must be able to use a staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and pneumatic regulators.
• Must be able to perform own repair work.
• Must be able to work safely, neatly, and quickly to meet production requirements.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
