**Job Title: Reclaim/Scrap Operator**
**Job Description**
The Reclaim/Scrap Operator assists Machine Operators by recycling material and scrap aluminum. The role involves working with other teams as needed and maintaining a clean work environment. The operator will recycle products that do not meet quality standards by peeling protective film from sheets and processing them through a separator, which separates the top and bottom panels from the core in the middle. This position serves as a starting point for individuals looking to prove themselves and potentially transition into a full-time role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Keep work area clean.
+ Adhere to safety and environmental rules.
+ Draw ATH for disposal and assist with cleaning of machines.
+ Remove and sweep debris from the burner and machines.
+ Lockout/Tagout procedures.
+ Support supervisors and team in training and cross-training efforts.
+ Maintain Forklift license as issued by Mitsubishi.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by department manager.
+ Wear personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional PPE as required.
+ Maintain correctable eyesight.
+ Work comfortably around moving equipment.
+ Climb ladders and stairs.
+ Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach forward, and twist.
+ Occasionally squat, crouch, and reach above shoulders.
+ Stand for extended periods.
+ Manipulate dexterity required for use of hand tools and light equipment.
+ Push/pull material using a pallet jack.
+ Frequently lift up to 30 lbs., occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Endure moderate exposure to temperature change in a non-climate-controlled environment with potential of working near heated processes.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes shifts from 6am to 6:15pm and 6pm to 6:15am. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled production facility, requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional PPE as necessary.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
