Job Description

This position involves working as a material handler within the warehouse operations, with forklift usage accounting for up to 30% of your time.

ResponsibilitiesPerform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.Examine shipment contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, invoices, packing slips, or orders, to verify accuracy.Stage received materials for routing to warehouse locations or quality control inspection.Deliver or route materials to other departments using material handling devices.Route or transfer received materials to warehouse locations.Confer and correspond with the Supply Chain team to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.Maintain the receiving area.Complete daily receiving logs.Record data for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments.Adhere to receiving policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures.Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and standards, and complete appropriate documentation as required.Provide on-the-job training to new or junior staff.Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.Perform any other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMaterial handling experience.Inventory management.Picking and packing skills.Use of RF scanner.Forklift operation with 2+ years of receiver experience.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.External CB (G&W uses electric) License.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle loading and shipping tasks.Why Work Here?

Eligible for profit sharing after one year with the company, offering an end-of-year bonus that can range from $2,000 to $4,000.

The work environment is within a medium-sized manufacturing company, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
