Real Estate Accountant
Job Description: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Portland, OR. This direct hire role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to financial operations, reporting, and internal controls within a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:Prepare and post various journal entries.Research and resolve account discrepancies.Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and bank statements.Maintain and analyze the general ledger chart of accounts.Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.Analyze Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for variances.Assist in the preparation of financial statements.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.Assist with internal control evaluations and financial/operational audits.Maintain documentation in accordance with company policy and GAAP.Contribute to additional accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

Expert-level experience in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, month-end close, and journal entries.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent communication skills—internally and externally.High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.Solutions-oriented mindset with adaptability in ambiguous situations.

Preferred (Not Required):

CPA Certification.Experience with RealPage OneSite software.Familiarity with long-term assets and multiple entity accounting.Background in property management, portfolio accounting, or public accounting.Interest in real estate development.

Pay and Benefits:Salary Range: $90,000 – $95,000 annuallyWork Schedule: On-site, 5 days/week with flexible hoursLocation: Portland, OR 97209

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr.
