Your day as a Raw Ingredient Supervisor As a new Raw Ingredient Supervisor at Barrett Petfood, you will engage in a dynamic environment where your leadership skills will shine. Daily, you'll oversee the receiving process, storage, and management of raw materials, ensuring they meet our quality standards. You can expect to assist in the communication with suppliers, facilitating timely deliveries and conducting thorough inspections of all ingredients to uphold our commitment to excellence. Your typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, allowing you to adjust to a consistent rhythm while managing your team effectively. Throughout your shift, you'll monitor production processes, addressing any challenges that arise and implementing innovative solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll champion safety practices and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Your role is crucial in supporting our customer-centric goals, making each day rewarding and impactful. day to day responsibilities + Works closely with the Raw Ingredient Manager on setting weekly plan for their shift + Drives quality through monitoring and validating that the product is within standards, checking paperwork, and ensuring the product is correct + Review current and future schedule to ensure all raw ingredients are on site + Create record sheets and blend stickers on weekly basis + Document run information and review past job sheets + Update work requests as needed + Supports troubleshooting of equipment to ensure that daily throughput requirements are being met + Coordinates with Quality Assurance, Production, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations + Notifies Raw Ingredient Manager of any Safety, Quality, or Production escalation issues + Guides the team to ensure products are produced in a safe, high quality, efficient, and timely manner + Ensures that all Meat Room personnel are trained according to Barrett standards and follows all safety, quality, and production expectations + Provides team members with valuable feedback on their performance on a day-to-day basis + Displays model behavior and provides clear direction to team members + Looks for ways to improve skills and knowledge for self and team in the department + Helps solve Raw Ingredient problems, looks for lean opportunities to improve processes daily while being a "no excuses" team leader + Respects co-workers in a sincere appreciative manner by having a polite, professional, and positive approach + Assists in holding employees accountable to performance and quality expectations and rewards with appropriate recognition + Acts with integrity while working effectively with others and communicating appropriately by utilizing active listening skills + Covers Raw Ingredient positions at needed + Assists in Raw Ingredient sanitation as needed Are you the Raw Ingredient Supervisor we're looking for?
