As an Associate within Rates, Emerging Markets, you will be part of the Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) front-office team on the trading floor in London, with a primary focus on the EM Rates markets. The ideal candidate must be responsible, independent, and able to work seamlessly with the larger team. Given the global distribution of the group, some travel may be required for this role. The environment is dynamic.
The Automated Trading Strategies team is accountable for trading revenue. Team members are expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities, as ATS staff bridge the gap between trading, quantitative analysis, and technology. Responsibilities include designing trading and execution strategies, researching micro-patterns and trends, building, maintaining, and upgrading applications and tools, and supporting day-to-day trading activities. The role may necessitate availability for on-call duties.

Analizing of client and trade data to identify revenue opportunities Formulating the analysis and back testing of pricing, execution, risk management strategies and signals Performing ad hoc data mining tasks and requests as needed Building tools for automation and for the benefit of our own group and others, resolving day to day issues Working in close collaboration with IB technology to drive the automated trading technology agenda and in many cases work jointly on implementationRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:
You have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field You demonstrate minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a relevant role You demonstrate interest in market microstructures and quantitative trading in Rates You have excellent quantitative, modelling and analytical skills You have attention to detail, adaptable and hungry to learn You have ability to understand and map data flows across applications and data sources You demonstrate programming skills, with primary focus on Java and Python You have interest in applying agile development practices in a front-office trading environmentRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:
You have experience in rates markets and understanding of general trading concepts and terminology You have experience in manipulating large amounts of data including e-commerce, historical and financial data You demonstrate knowledge of database technologies You have experience of agile software methodologiesThis role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
