**Hurry up!** **Hiring now Railcar Repairman position in Hollidaysburg, PA!** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Railcar Repairman to join our team. This role involves 60% mechanical work and 40% welding work to repair rail cars. The position demands physical endurance and involves working in a challenging environment. While flux core welding is preferred, candidates with MIG welding experience can be trained. A weld test will assess your current skills and training needs. **Responsibilities** + Work safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks. + Coordinate and complete all railcar repairs and maintenance. + Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints/schematics to perform required repairs. + Utilize basic mechanical skills and build knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut, and gouge. + Notify of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks. + Follow all safety rules, keep work area clean, and comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety policies. + Ensure FRA, AAR, and customer quality standards are met. + Complete any other duties as assigned to accomplish tasks. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to weld. + Knowledge of hand tools, air tools, and mechanical assembly. + Experience in manufacturing, preferably with mechanical work or railcar work. + Ability to stand for long periods and work in various environmental conditions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Flux core welding preferred but not required. + Capability to take a flux core weld test to determine training needs. + Experience in grinding, air tool usage, and fabrication. **Why Work Here?** We offer overtime opportunities and yearly boot reimbursement.
