We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Loader to join our team. The primary role involves performing transfers of hazardous and non-hazardous products, ensuring compliance with safety and government regulations. The Loader will also be responsible for equipment inspections and maintenance, as well as adhering to company policies and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesPerform transfers of hazardous and non-hazardous products in compliance with training and government regulations (EPA, FRA, OSHA).Climb to heights up to 60 feet to perform inspections as needed.Inspect and seal railcars.Inspect equipment using checklists and check fluid levels.Operate Kubota Utility Vehicles.Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including changing oil, starters, batteries, and clutches.Conduct structural and mechanical inspections using checklists.Prepare products for transferring.Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform duties safely, effectively, and efficiently.Participate in daily Safety/Quality talks and report all incidents and near misses.Understand and comply with Shipper Confidentiality when discussing Shipper Accounts.Perform daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning bathrooms, windows, sweeping, mopping, trash pick-up, weed control, mowing grass, and washing equipment.Comply with cross-training requirements.Understand and comply with Emergency Coordinator requirements, including maintaining logs and signing manifests as required.Perform other duties as trained and assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in loading and unloading rail cars using hand and power tools.Ability to perform general labor tasks.Experience with hand tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to work a rotating schedule from 3pm to 1:30am, based on train schedules.Work EnvironmentThis position involves working outdoors year-round, subject to varying weather conditions. The role requires physical activity, including climbing, lifting, and operating utility vehicles. A commitment to safety and compliance is essential.
