Radiologic Technologist (PRN) – Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD

U.S. Got People (USGP) is seeking a dedicated PRN Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled technologist looking to support our nation’s military community while gaining valuable experience in a federal healthcare setting.

Schedule:

• Weekend Evenings (3pm-11:30pm)

• Holidays are required

• Training and Onboarding: will take approximately 2 weeks and will occur on weekdays.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of a radiologic technologist program accredited by the         Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology        (JRCERT)

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required

• Licensure/Registration: Current registration with the American Registry    of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiographic Technologist or          Radiation Therapist

Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

• Hepatitis B (series and titer)

• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

• Varicella (Chickenpox)

• TB (Tuberculosis) test

• Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine

• COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients, schedule appointments, manage exam requests,         and handle imaging records and media

• Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images

• Adjust settings such as kVp, mA, exposure time, and focal spot size based on the
required imaging

• Accurately position patients and select appropriate imaging media and                  accessories

• Record, process, and manipulate images using digital imaging software

• Assist with fluoroscopic, interventional, and other special procedures

• Prepare and assist in contrast media administration and respond to contrast-         related emergencies

• Maintain a clean and sterile work environment and support with emergency cart
readiness

• Operate accessory equipment as needed
