Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team at University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN! This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9AM - 5:30PM. 

 

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

 

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.

Responsibilities

Maintains patient carePerforms examinationsIdentifies relevant data from images accurately.Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professionalVerify patient identification and documentationCommunicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.Ensures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely mannerAccurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

Required Qualifications

ARRT Radiology TechBasic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

1 year experience as a technologist
