This position is for busy Ortho clinic. Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5pm.
Pay Range
$26.10 - $39.15Major Responsibilities:
Determination of appropriate radiological technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices. Operates radiology equipment appropriately.1)Positions patient, adjusts equipment, secures and immobilizes support devices as needed to tactfully perform procedures.2)Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality films for the radiologists.3)Secures history from patient regarding reason for prescribed test.Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.1)Uses universal precautions in daily performance of procedures.2)Maintains compliance with established safety standards to protect patients and staff at all time (i.e., appropriate patient shielding, etc.)3)Maintains exposure badge.4)Maintains supplies and cleanliness for assigned room on a daily basis.5)Administers CPR as necessary.6)Assures accuracy of examination performed and requisition.7)Familiar with MSDS information pertaining to chemicals used in the department.8)Performs clerical duties such as maintaining adequate patient records, daily statistics, answering telephones, scheduling examinations and giving instructions to patients for examination to provide smooth and continuous department services.9)Communicates with patient appropriately and provides excellent care.10)Performs other duties as assigned.Coordination of quality control tasks.1)Inventories supplies and maintains adequate stock.2)Labels radiology images according to department standards and criteria.3)Prepares contrast media as necessary following department standards and manufacturers recommendations.4)Performs daily sensitometry of processors; assists in performance of annual inspections.5)Checks film quality and ensures proper and correct labeling is provided.6)Performs quality control activities, responds to inquires, coordinates patient flow and communicates with provider to ensure exams are completed in a timely fashion.7)Prepares radiology rooms daily.8)Coordinates the flow of patients into and out of the department in accordance with established departmental/center procedures.9)Performs orders management tracking functions.
