Education:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Physical Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics from an accredited institutionMust meet the educational requirements established by the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) for professionals supporting accredited CT systemsExperience:
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience (within the last 5 years) as a Therapeutic Medical Physicist in a hospital settingAt least 1 year of experience (within the last 3 years) providing support for Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT)Certification:
Board certified (or eligible) by one of the following:American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Radiation Oncology PhysicsAmerican Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or Radiological PhysicsCanadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM)Licensure:
Must have been listed as an Authorized Medical Physicist on a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license within the last 5 yearsImmunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

Submit two letters of recommendation (written within the last 3 years) attesting to your clinical skills and professional qualificationsKey Responsibilities:
Perform and analyze beam data measurements for radiation treatment machinesVerify accurate input of beam data into the treatment planning system and support safe, effective treatment deliveryAssist in developing treatment planning protocols and delivery methodsEnsure the accuracy of treatment plans and documentation for various therapies, including:3D Conformal RadiotherapyIMRTVMATSBRTRespiratory-gated treatmentsSRSConduct post-maintenance quality assurance for treatment machines in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirementsTrain and educate dosimetrists, radiation therapists, nurses, residents, and technical staffSupport the development and ongoing refinement of quality assurance programsEnsure compliance with all radiation safety standards and licensing regulationsAssist in simulations, image-guided planning, and data managementParticipate in weekly chart rounds, CQI meetings, and other required team discussionsUse data from CT, MRI, PET-CT, and simulations to develop high-quality treatment plansWhy Work With USGP?
