Job Description SummaryRoles will typically be in shared service; may support multiple businesses, but not necessary. Subject matter experts will generally fall into this category. Typically HQ Jobs and NOT on site. For client facing roles, use Operational EHS family. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.
• Prevent EHS related non-compliances and support business and project teams to maintain a safe, healthy and environment friendly workplace.
• Manage and maintain EHS related permits to ensure compliance, including but not limited to Radiation, Environment (Air Emission, Waste Discharge, Hazardous Waste), Occupational Health (OH), Safety, Firefighting, etc.
• Manage radiation safety related work, including radiation Environment Impact Assessment, radiation Occupational Disease Hazard Impact Assessment, radiation OH Physical Exam arrangement (onboard, offboard, transfer, emergency), badge routine management, radiation OH profiles management, annual radiation report and other required reports.
• Establish and maintain Radiation Safety management system, including developing Radiation Safety management procedure, Radiation Safety work rules and instructions, responsibility of different positions related to radiation operation, radiation security management procedure, radiation hazard prevention procedure, radiation safety profiles management procedure, radiation training management procedure, radiation monitoring procedure and emergency management procedure.
• Support and consult on hazardous chemical trade, registration, transportation, storage according to China laws, regulations, codes and GEHC global standards.
• Support and consult on Dangerous Goods import/export and transportation according to China laws, regulations, codes and GEHC global standards.
• Conduct routine EHS Compliance self-assessment to timely identify gaps of China EHS laws, regulations, and standards. Lead to take actions to ensure EHS compliance.
• Drive the implementation of Critical-to-EHS Equipment program.
• Manage Fire Fighting and Protection system to ensure the full compliance of both China and GEHC fire safety related laws, regulations, standards.
• Support to manage workplace OH and IH hazard assessment, evaluation and coordinate routine monitoring.
• Support to drive strong EHS culture and organize EHS promotion activities, communications within the campus.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activity, organize emergency drills, provide trainings to emergency response team, etc.
• Support to conduct EHS Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis to define the appropriate technical solutions to mitigate the identified hazards.
• Develop, organize and deliver EHS trainings.
• Manage GEHC’s contractor activities, coordinate with landlord on contractor management and act as a GEHC EHS representatives to review contractor EHS plan and sign off EHS related permits.
• Support business and project team to fully implement EHS Management of Change (MOC) Process to timely capture and access EHS impact from any changes.
• Perform EHS inspections and audits of working areas, equipment and processes, follow up all identified findings to full closure.
• Perform incident investigations, identify root causes and oversee the implementation of actions.
• At least 8 years’ Environment, Health and Safety related working experience, with at least 3 years’ Radiation safety management working experience.
• Familiar with Radiation Safety, Environment, Safety and Health laws, regulations and standards.
• Radiation Safety Management Certificate is required. (辐射安全管理人员持证)
• China Certified Safety Personnel is preferred. (中国注册安全工程师优先)
• Good communication and EHS management skills, good teamwork in a matrixed organization.
• Gook spoken and written English.
• Good organization skill to promote EHS activities and awareness.
• Familiar with office software including Excel, Word and PPT.
• Strong will to learn and grow.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety, Environment or equivalent Engineering.• At least 8 years’ Environment, Health and Safety related working experience, with at least 3 years’ Radiation safety management working experience.
• Familiar with Radiation Safety, Environment, Safety and Health laws, regulations and standards.
• Radiation Safety Management Certificate is required. (辐射安全管理人员持证)
