Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Racker to join our 2nd-shift Finishing team. If you excel in a fast-paced, technical environment and take pride in ensuring every part is properly prepared for downstream finishing operations, this role is perfect for you. You will spend your shift wiring and fixturing delicate parts onto racks to support cleaning, plating, and surface coating processes, while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
Pay Rate: $18-21
ResponsibilitiesWire or fixture parts onto designated racks per general instructions using copper wire or pre-existing rack fixtures.Read and apply special instructions when required, ensuring correct part orientation and fixturing.Perform frequent counting of product to maintain accuracy and meet daily rack quotas.Inspect incoming parts and report any defects or questionable conditions immediately to the Department Lead.Keep work area and equipment clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations, such as proper disposal of wire scraps and maintaining clear walkways.Execute prescribed preventive maintenance on racking equipment by checking wire cutters, lubricating pins, and inspecting rack fixtures as scheduled.Complete tasks as directed by the manufacturing schedule with minimal supervision, consistently meeting production targets.Collaborate with peers and leadership to support overall production demands and address issues promptly.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.At least 1 year of related racking, assembly, or finishing experience preferred.Ability to read work orders and written instructions; legible penmanship for labeling and counts.Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and counting by twos or tens.Mechanical inclination, able to troubleshoot simple fixture or wire-break issues.Strong attention to detail and thoroughness, ensuring each part is properly secured before moving downstream.Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask during peak production cycles.Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to report defects, ask clarifying questions, and document maintenance.Safety-focused mindset and commitment to maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.Why Work Here?Enjoy competitive pay with performance-based bonus opportunities. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
