Role Summary

This position is based in MAF Global Solutions (GS). This is a new department which has recently been set-up for all the wholly owned subsidiaries of MAF. GS is responsible for all the transactional accounting operations of the entities incl. General Ledger, Purchase To Pay, Order To Cash & preparation of Financial Statements

 

ROLE PROFILE

Monitor monthly closing compliance checklist to ensure compliant closingComplete Monthly recording of transactions for assigned companies in compliance with IFRS, tax law and country specific regulationsPrepare and post monthly consolidation and elimination journals for group trial balancePrepare consolidated trial balance for group and its relevant analysisEnsure monthly closing is accurate and done on timePrepare monthly intercompany reconciliations and bank reconciliationsEnsure adherence to Finance Shared Services Centre Service Level Agreement (SLA) with entities. Monitor and resolve customer queries/complaintsMake accounting records available for review, on a timely basis, by entities, internal auditors, external auditors and other stakeholders, as requiredEnsure you are always up to date with IFRS, tax laws and country accounting regulations

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce5 years’ experience in a big four audit firmAdditional experience working in the General Ledger function of a Finance Department will be an added advantageExtensive IFRS knowledgeGood knowledge of HFM reporting tool (Hyperion Financial Management)Advance MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills - Fluent English
