R&D Senior Technologist

As Senior Technologist II, you will play a central role in the Italian brand’s development (Biscuits and Savoury Snacks), leading crucial initiatives and fostering business and technical collaboration. **Your responsibilities will include:** + Interface with Italian business partners for Oro, Tuc brands: Drive innovations, renovations, quality improvement within Capriata bakery, ensuring projects meet consumer expectation, brand specific strategy and market demands. + Interface with Manufacturing partners in Capriata d’Orba : Define and Improve manufacturing performance of the Sweet and Savory production lines + Project Leadership & Technical expertise: Autonomously plan and manage complex business projects ensuring compliance to technical policies and procedures, deliver technical input to address business needs and have clear priority mindset to promote Consumer Inspired Quality initiatives For this role, we are seeking for a candidate that will easily flex priorities and get extensive technical competencies to support the team. **Primary Accountabilities** + As R&D representative, lead communication within the business and manufacturing team about progress and risks for product and process development + As R&D representative, link with R&D stakeholders to get decisions made + Manage several projects in parallel and/or a highly complex project with limited coaching + Shape & propose project Timelines, Design and Develop products & processes in order to deliver project to the required standards, policies, agreed timescales / cost and meet objectives without compromising quality for Consumer. + Organize and execute pilot plant &, plant trials, industrial launch, provide recommendations to the project team + Connect and use network to develop better and faster products & processes + Recommend consumers’ product validation process and manage R&D product validation with consumer science. + Travels required across Europe (for around 20-30% of a time) **Profile & Competencies** + Hold a Master’s degree (or higher) in Food Science Engineering or a related field + Significant professional experience 5-10 years in Biscuit / Savory Snacks (e.g. implementation of new technology, productivity, quality improvement or innovation growth). + Knowledge and experience in Biscuit/Cereals/Bread and/or Chocolate technologies, ingredients and processes. Knowledge and experience in Nutrition is a plus. + Leadership capabilities, including the ability to guide and develop a small team + Ability to manage evolving priorities and adapt to changing business landscapes + Excellence in execution, solid organization skills, projects and time management. + Strong collaboration and influencing skills across diverse teams. + Fluent in English is mandatory and ideally a second language. **Relocation Support Available?** No Relocation support available **Business Unit Summary** **We value our talented employees, and whenever possible strive to help one of our associates grow professionally before recruiting new talent to our open positions.
