Join our dynamic team as an R&D Formulation Scientist specializing in Soft Gel products. You will play a pivotal role in supporting product requirements and technical needs by partnering closely with Sales and Customers. This position involves developing innovative formulations for oils, waters, soft gels, two-piece capsules, powders, and granulations.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Sourcing and Purchasing teams to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.Troubleshoot technical formulation issues and provide expert problem-solving support.Assist with analytical testing and quality assessments.Perform hands-on work in the Product Development laboratory.Utilize analytical instrumentation including GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS.Evaluate laboratory capabilities and identify opportunities for future R&D expansion.Work effectively with a predominantly Spanish-speaking laboratory team; bilingual skills are not required, but comfort using translation tools is helpful.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field.3+ years of R&D formulation experience.Expertise in Soft Gels.Required nutraceutical experience with manufacturing knowledge.Skilled in HPLC, GC, and ICP.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual skills are a plus.Experience with raw material quality control.Analytical chemistry expertise.Knowledge of fish oils.Work EnvironmentYou will report to the Quality Director until a future R&D Director is hired. Currently, there are only two R&D formulators on the team, but the team will expand following the acquisition. The position involves working Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, 100% on-site. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
