R&d Engineering Technician
R&D Engineering - NPI Testing and Troubleshooting Job Description Join our team as an R&D Engineer, where you will support the New Product Introduction (NPI) testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting of balloon catheters. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in balloon catheter development, although those with extensive catheter experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities + Conduct NPI testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of balloon catheters. + Utilize microscopes and handheld equipment for detailed inspection tasks. + Perform testing using Instron/tensile testing, balloon compliance testing, and fatigue testing. + Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness and precision. + Collaborate within a team environment to support the development of innovative catheter products. Essential Skills + Experience with catheter testing, inspections, and troubleshooting. + Proficiency in using microscopes and small hand tools. + Understanding of cleanroom practices and protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in prototyping and balloon compliance testing. + Familiarity with electromechanical design of catheter products. + Open to candidates with experience in NPI development, even without full-cycle exposure. Work Environment The role is based in Santa Clara, working at a state-of-the-art facility. It is a Monday through Friday, on-site position with flexible start times between 7am and 9am, totaling an 8-hour shift. The position offers a 9-month contract with the potential for conversion based on performance and approval. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
