R&d Engineer

Actalent is hiring an R&D Engineer for a leading Medical Device company in the Plymouth, MN area!!

Job Description:

Responsible for providing engineering support in the creation and the development of new medical device products invasive and non-invasive. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

Researches develops designs and evaluates mechanical and electro-mechanical materials components assemblies processes and/or equipment. Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality. Develops new concepts from initial design to market release. Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities. Write and submit intellectual property patents. Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development. Investigates and evaluates existing technologies. Reviews or coordinates vendor activities to support development. Write and submit professional articles for technical journals. 1Research various cost-effective alternative approaches to current processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in either Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering2-5 years of experience with Mechanical DesignExperienced with SolidWorks or WindChill Experience with test validation and test method development Technical report writingTesting productsTechnical studies and planningCross-functional teamsRecording results, analyzing data and creating presentations

Shift:

Monday - Friday (8am-4:30pm)

This is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
