Quantum Technologies Subject Matter Expert
**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Quantum Technologies Subject Matter Expert** with a background in Quantum Computing, Networking, emerging Quantum technologies, sensors, and atomic clocks to support the Principal Director (PD), Quantum Science within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for (OUSD(R&E)), Critical Technologies Office (CTO). This is an exciting position that requires close interaction with leadership within the Pentagon and across the Department of Defense (DoD), including components, industry partners, academia, international partners, and associations to achieve mission goals and outcomes. **This position is hybrid with occasional onsite work in Arlington, VA.** **Job Responsibilities:** + Assist in the development, maintenance and integration of Quantum Science modernization technology roadmap for the PD, Quantum Science + Provide subject matter expertise in the latest quantum trends, emerging capabilities, and best practices + Collaborate with internal and external SMEs to develop and review RFI responses, information papers and reports to Congress and other external organizations + Prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership, Congress, Industry, Academia, Professional Societies, and other organizations + Assist in goal setting for quantum science within OSD and track assessment of progress toward established goals + Provide analysis to PD, Quantum in areas such as: research funding of DoD Labs, Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), OSD and Services S&T initiatives, and Federal quantum science S&T policy + Maintain broad situational awareness of research and development efforts involving quantum science program areas **Qualifications** **Required Clearance:** + Active TS/SCI clearance + US citizenship required **Required Education** & **Experience:** + Bachelors degree in Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, or similar fields and fourteen (14) years of experience in subject matter working in either Government, Industry, or Academia; Masters and twelve (12) years of experience **Required Qualifications:** + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Experience with Quantum Computing, Networking, emerging Quantum technologies, sensors, and atomic clocks SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
