We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our 1st shift team. This role is critical to ensuring the precision and quality of machined components. The ideal candidate will have strong work history within quality inspection within a machine shop environment and be comfortable using a variety of measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings.

Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour, based off level of skills and experience

Responsibilities

Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts.Use micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to verify part dimensions.Interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications to ensure compliance.Document inspection results and communicate findings to production and quality teams.Collaborate with production supervisors to resolve quality issues.Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection or as a quality technician in a manufacturing/machine shop environment.Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints with GD&T.Experience conducting first piece, in-process, and final inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with CMM inspection.Prior leadership or team lead experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a machine shop environment with AC control in the Quality department and most parts of the facility. The shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime varying based on business needs. Training duration can be up to 6 months, depending on experience level.

This is based out of Northbrook, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
