Quality Technician I
**Job Title: Quality Technician I** **Location: Cerritos, CA 90703** **Pay Range: $22- $23 per hour** **What's the Job?** + **Shift: (approximately 3 Month assignment)** + Report directly to Quality Manager and will perform a wide variety of duties that will support the VST Quality Engineer and Quality Department. + Reviews technical data packages of assigned source inspection lots. + For Contract Review process, responsible for review of customer specifications, customer PO Codes, and any other quality notes from their purchase order. + Assists Q.E. in review and approval of ECO’s. + Assists Q.E. in the review of customer material returns (RMA's). + Assists Q.E. in the investigation of customer and internal corrective action and failure analysis requests. + Assists Q.E. with the coordination and documentation of problem-solving activities, root-cause analysis, and including but not exclusive to CAPA and 8D. + Report out Daily SQDC (Safety/Quality/Delivery/Cost) for the “Quality” portion. + Review and assist with MRB disposition of nonconforming material. + Creates Quality Notifications (QN's) for nonconforming material in SAP. + Ability to interpret requirements from procedures, specifications, work instructions, travelers, etc. + Assists Q.E. in training final inspectors. + Performs and/or participates in periodic quality and process audits. + Reviews X-Rays and DPA Reports with the assistance of Q.E. + *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company **What's Needed?** + **Minimum 1-year experience in Quality, Inspection, or related manufacturing environment.** + Experience with completing and reviewing AS9102 FAIR’s, including Net-Inspect and Discus. + Good knowledge of blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and ASME Y14.5M. + General understanding of Quality Assurance Systems and Applications, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100. + Experience in the aerospace, military, and defense industries or cable assembly businesses preferred. + Hand dexterity, coordination, and accuracy. + Associate’s degree (Metallurgical, Electrical, Quality or Mechanical) or equivalent experience. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. + Gain valuable experience in the shipping and logistics sector. + Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals. + Enhance your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. + Potential for career growth and advancement within the organization. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
