Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and quality of our products within the medical, food service, material handling, and heavy truck industries. You will use advanced software and tools to analyze testing data and communicate results effectively to peers, management, and customers.

Responsibilities

Operate and program CMM machines, and install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Measure dimensions of components and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.Read and write CMM reports and develop work instructions for CMM setup and operation for various programs.Use calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and various other hand tools.Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements for sample layouts and production checks.Assist the Quality Director in dimensional inspection of products for PPAPs and investigations.Collect and analyze data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, and gauge R&R.Review acceptance criteria defined by customer documents and identify and document any drawing/specification errors.Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval.Assist the Quality Director in responding to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using Pc Dmis Software and SolidWorks.Experience with FARO ARM CMM is required.Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis.Ability to communicate testing data results effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in First Article Inspection, Gauge R&R, and PPAP.Ability to analyze and test using advanced software tools.

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based with some plant measuring required, operating within a plastic thermoforming environment. The hours may vary depending on the company's needs, with overtime required when necessary.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Bluff, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $70700.00/yr.
