Quality Technician
Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering technical, quality, and on-the-job training to ensure workforce competency and compliance. This role involves creating and managing training materials and providing hands-on instruction in soldering and inspection techniques. Responsibilities + Develop and deliver technical, quality, and on-the-job training to ensure workforce competency and compliance. + Create, maintain, and manage training materials, curricula, certifications, and training records. + Provide hands-on instruction, including soldering and inspection techniques, for new and existing employees. + Support quality compliance by communicating inspection results, quality issues, and training needs to cross-functional areas. + Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to training programs, methods, and materials. + Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs. Essential Skills + Strong attention to detail with well-developed observational skills. + Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related measurement devices. + Working knowledge of quality standards and methodologies such as AS9100, ISO standards, and Lean Manufacturing principles. + Ability to read, interpret, and train to engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences. + Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and quality management systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in quality, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred. + Previous experience in quality, inspection, manufacturing, training, or a related technical role is preferred. + Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, procedures, and manuals. + Ability to use and interpret measurement and inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, and x-ray (as applicable). Work Environment The role follows a normal business hours schedule and is an hourly non-exempt position. The work environment is part of an expanding Aerospace and Defense company that is heavily involved with electronics. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Olathe, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Health, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Holiday, PTO Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Olathe,KS.
