We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician for either the 1st shift starting at 7 AM or the 3rd shift starting at 11 PM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality documentation, conducting audits, and supporting production teams to ensure compliance with IATF/ISO 9001 standards.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update Job Instructions, Control Plans, and Quality Alerts, and process Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs).Review training records and assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) audits and submissions.Present data and Warranty Charts in quality meetings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve gaging and fixturing issues.Perform weekly Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and support inspection, containment, and sorting activities.Investigate production issues, determine root causes, and manage nonconforming material.Interface with labs and use QAD to track suspect material.Conduct inspections using precision tools and maintain Visual Factory standards.Essential SkillsProficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance processes.Ability to interpret blueprints and manage nonconforming materials.Experience with control plans, PPAP documentation, audits, and root cause analysis.Knowledge of IATF standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Ability to conduct quality inspections and checks within a production environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with GD&T and PPAP documentation is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis role requires working in a production environment, where maintaining Visual Factory standards is crucial. The position includes shifts starting at 7 AM or 11 PM, and involves the use of precision tools and QAD software for tracking purposes.
