Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description

The Quality Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all materials and final products meet stringent quality standards. This position involves significant material inspection responsibilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and adhering to organizational protocols.

ResponsibilitiesConduct evaluations of incoming materials to ensure alignment with defined standards and specifications.Verify that final products and packaging meet predetermined quality benchmarks.Adhere to established operational protocols, procedural guidelines, and testing frameworks.Maintain accurate records of inspection outcomes and relevant data within designated tracking systems.Identify and address deviations from quality expectations through formal escalation procedures.Facilitate communication and sample/data exchange with external stakeholders when necessary.Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.Apply structured problem-solving tools to implement lasting enhancements.Uphold organizational standards for cleanliness, order, and consistency across workspaces using a five-principle system.Perform other work as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma required.Experience or exposure to working within Quality.English reading and writing skills.Internal auditing or inspection experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, or related science discipline.GMP experience from food, cosmetics, chemical manufacturing, pharma, or medical device sectors.Bilingual abilities would be a significant advantage.Prior quality assurance or quality control exposure.Verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail.Critical thinking skills.Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Email systems).Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Initial work will take place at the Chaska facility until March, after which operations will move to a new facility in Shakopee. The role may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on business needs. The work is cyclical with moderate interruptions, and some travel may be required. Physical demands include frequent standing and walking, and occasional bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The work environment is indoors with seasonal temperature fluctuations and exposure to various fragrances. Opportunities for career advancement into QA Analyst or QA Specialist roles are available after 2-3 years. The position offers accrual of PTO, four personal days, and six holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
