Quality Technician
Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description Provide support for Quality Engineering functions, including manufacturing, sterility assurance, or supplier quality, and lead projects and improvement initiatives. Conduct investigations for product or supplier nonconformance and process noncompliance issues, documenting exceptions in the Corrective Action / Preventative Action (CAPA) System. Responsibilities + Lead investigations for product or supplier nonconformance and process noncompliance issues. + Perform CAPA activities, including root cause analysis, investigations, product and process disposition, and effectiveness checks. + Participate in the review and disposition of non-conforming product or controlled process inputs, including the Product Quality Review Board, returns, and complaints. + Support validation activities by reviewing and approving data sheets, drafting validation protocols, and documenting results in a validation report. + Conduct process and safety audits and document results appropriately. + Assist in Change Management functions, including maintaining Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. + Perform product acceptance testing, quality inspections, data entry, and data corrections accurately. + Support environmental monitoring investigations and document quality inspections on controlled suppliers. + Identify and support process improvement initiatives and implementation. + Support projects as a quality resource as assigned. + Mentor or train other team members. Essential Skills + Quality control and quality inspection skills. + Experience with micrometers, calipers, and quality assurance processes. + Familiarity with CAPA systems. + Medical device and lab testing knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School diploma or equivalent required. + 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control. + Experience in Microbiology or Biology preferred. + ASQ certification preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially basic Excel. + Technical writing skills. + Problem-solving methodologies and investigation experience. Work Environment The work environment is highly organized, featuring clean rooms that are bright and welcoming. Employees work in small teams that collaborate daily. The role requires the ability to move or lift objects up to 25 pounds and frequent stationary positioning, either standing or sitting, while utilizing digital tools. Fine manipulation using hands and fingers is often required for typing, writing, and other tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
