Quality Technician
Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in medical device equipment manufacturing for a Quality Technician. **Job Title: Quality Technician** **Location: Eagan, MN** **Pay: $30 - $35/hour** **Duration: Direct Hire** **Job Function Summary:** Perform inspections, document control functions, and calibration activities. Assist in CAPA and complaint investigations. Follow non-conformances process and work with suppliers as needed. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** + Follow procedures and work instructions applicable in the Quality Management System + Receiving Inspection + Inspections and disposition of products received + The inspection activities include mechanical, functional and/or electrical inspections of the components received to the documented drawings verifying the critical parameters and other characteristics essential to meet requirements + Review prior history to determine if sample sizes need to be adjusted + Document inspection results in spreadsheets, ERP software and / or databases + Follow Non-Conforming Material Reports process + Interface with suppliers + Performing 1 st Article Inspections + In-Process / Final Inspection + Inspection of components in-process + Review of controlled environment activities and logbooks + Follow Non-Conforming Material Reports process + Inspection of labeling (i.e. labels and instructions for use) + Review and disposition of returned products and non-conforming materials + Sterile load release; EO & Gamma + Create Certificate of Compliances + Final QA product inspection + Label accepted products + Release products in ERP software + Document inspection results in spreadsheets, ERP software or databases + Support RMA process when needed + Support Document Control/Change Request Process when needed + Support Calibration activities + Interdepartmental Relationships and Teamwork needed for CAPA and Complaint investigations: + Support engineering to keep drawings and specifications accurate and up to date + Support manufacturing to keep work instructions accurate and up to date + Support purchasing with complete documentation as required + Support quality functions including review of RMA’s (return material authorizations), NMR’s (non-conformances), complaints, deviations, training records, calibration records and CAPA’s (corrective actions and preventative actions) as needed. **Requirements:** + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Technical + Minimum 1 year of work experience in medical device manufacturing environment + Attention to details + Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to read, write and speak English in order to comprehend and execute internal procedures, drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions (MWI), etc. **Preferred Skills & Abilities:** + Basic understanding of FDA 21 CFR Regulations, Good Documentation Practices, ISO 13485 + Previous work experience within medical device industry or Quality inspection is a plus + Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment (i.e. use of calipers, pin gauges, rulers, pressure gauge, etc.) + Excellent organizational skills + Basic understanding of Good Document Practices (GDP) + Software proficiency + Microsoft Word and Excel + Adobe Acrobat Willing to learn new skills or enhance existing skills that support this position’s core duties **Benefits:** We offer a full complement of benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and generous PTO.
