**Job Title: Quality Technician** Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections to ensure that products meet quality standards. You will also be expected to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise and make recommendations to management for process improvements. You will spend 75% of your time on the floor conducting inspections of welds. Responsibilities + Conduct tests and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. + Identify and resolve quality issues as they arise. + Make recommendations to management for process improvements. + Spend 75% of the time on the floor conducting inspections of welds. + Read and understand blueprints, weld symbols, and processes. + Use tools such as tape measures, weld gauges, and conduct pressure testing. + Understand and apply shop math. + Utilize Microsoft software for computer-related tasks. + Assist in developing training manuals. + Calibrate weld machines (preferred). Essential Skills + Proficiency with tape measure, welding, blueprint reading, and inspection techniques. + 4 years of experience in quality inspection, particularly in structural steel and fitting. + Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles. + Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and AWS certification are highly desirable. + Experience with gages and visual inspection. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 3 years of experience reading blueprints and using a tape measure. + Ability to calibrate weld machines is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work the first shift from 6am-4:30pm on a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. The environment is a relaxed 80-person shop with plans to expand. The facility offers great lighting, new machinery, and high ceilings. Steel-toed shoes, eye, and hearing protection are required. The company is transitioning to a new state-of-the-art facility by summer 2025. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Beloit, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr. 4-10 schedule - try to not work OT but currently working some OT Growing company - they build parts for Data centers, which that industry is taking off In the Iron works district - connected to a golf simulator and bar. Their other facility is Brand new facility with tons of space, great lighting, new machinery and high ceilings.
