Quality Technician
**Job Title: Quality Technician** Job Description We are seeking two Quality Technicians to join our team in distinct roles, one focusing on analytical tasks and the other on materials. Both positions are integral to ensuring high standards of quality and safety in our products. Responsibilities + Prepare both raw materials and final products for testing. + Conduct chemical analysis using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) applications. + Review and enter data, maintaining detailed records of all tests performed. + Perform lab housekeeping tasks including cleaning labware, standards preparation, and instrument maintenance. + Operate presses, mills, and laboratory furnaces to produce sintered parts. + Use laboratory saws, grinders, polishers, and mount makers to prepare sintered parts for testing. + Perform a variety of tests including Rockwell Hardness, density, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), structural analysis using a microscope, and magnetics. + Perform housekeeping and sample organization tasks. Essential Skills + Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection. + Proficiency in chemical testing and laboratory environments. + Ability to operate machinery such as presses and mills. + Experience with microscopes and other laboratory equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as chemistry or science is preferred but not required. + Chemical lab experience and experience working with hazardous materials are beneficial. + Good communication skills and a detail-oriented approach. + Self-motivated, organized, and clean work habits. Work Environment The quality lab is located on the second floor of a tech building, providing a climate-controlled and comfortable work environment. The role initially follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with the possibility of transitioning to a Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday shift after training. This position does not involve exposure to chemicals for the materials technician role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, Alabama. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
